山东聊城莘县地处鲁西平原，是蔬菜生产大县，瓜菜菌年产量达520万吨。蔬菜产业的蓬勃发展，有力拉动了地方经济，也催生并壮大了瓜菜嫁接工这一技术岗位。
每到春节，哪里需要嫁接，嫁接工就去哪里。目前，莘县累计发展嫁接技术工人3万余人。
