吴说获悉，Step Finance 发布声明称，1 月 31 日下午因管理层设备遭入侵，约 4000 万美元从 Step Finance 金库被转出。团队已联动安全机构与执法部门止损调查，并临时暂停部分运营。Step Finance 表示 Remora Markets 与本次事件隔离，rTokens 仍 1:1 托管支持；已追回约 370 万美元 Remora 资产及约 100 万美元其他资产。团队称将以攻击前快照为准制定 STEP 持有人方案，并在调查完成前不建议交易 STEP。
