联合国大会主席发言人柯林斯2月2日宣布，智利前总统米歇尔·巴切莱特将角逐下一任联合国秘书长。
柯林斯称，智利、巴西和墨西哥共同推举巴切莱特为下一任联合国秘书长候选人。目前，另一名候选人是国际原子能机构总干事拉斐尔·格罗西。
