1月22日，印尼西爪哇省警方表示，茂物市一处无证矿区已有11名非法金矿矿工在暴露于有毒气体后身亡。
西爪哇省警方通报称，由警方、军方、地区政府、灾害救援机构等组成的联合团队正继续在该事故现场开展搜救工作。矿井深处仍存在高浓度有毒气体。救援工作预计将持续进行。（央视新闻）
