北京时间1月13日，官方消息，墨尔本胜利37岁中场马塔被球员票选为PFA(澳大利亚职业足球运动员协会)澳超12月最佳球员。
在12月，马塔共为墨尔本胜利在澳超出场4次，贡献2次助攻，球队战绩为3胜1平保持不败。
马塔在本赛季离开西悉尼流浪者，自由身加盟墨尔本胜利，截至目前共为球队在各项赛事出场12次，打进1球，送出4次助攻。
