1月8日，据汇丰控股与恒生银行联合公告，汇丰将恒生银行私有化的建议获恒生银行法院会议、恒生银行股东大会表决通过。在计划变成具约束力且生效之前提下，预期恒生银行股份于香港联交所的上市地位将于1月27日（星期二）下午4时正被撤销。
