据韩国《首尔经济日报》援引投行界未具名人士消息，Kakao 正与韩国人工智能初创企业 Upstage 洽谈出售旗下门户网站 Daum 事宜。Kakao 持有 Daum 母公司 AXZ 的全部股权，该公司或将通过与 Upstage 换股的方式，转让 Daum 的经营控制权。Upstage 目前正筹备明年年初的首次公开募股（IPO）。
