12 月 16 日，有游客在昆明滇池观光索道上拍摄到两根管道正向湖中排放 "黑水"，引发公众对滇池遭受污染的担忧。12 月 17 日，昆明市滇池管理局迅速作出回应，明确表示这是一场 "美丽误会"—— 被拍摄管道实为草海 - 外海连通泵站的排放管，所排放的是从草海输送至外海的水，因光线折射导致在特定角度观察时呈现 "黑水" 现象，该操作属于正常生态调度，并非排污行为。
