On December 7, the 2025 Belt and Road Media Community Summit Forum was held in Yangjiang, Guangdong. The theme of this forum is "Renewal of the Maritime Silk Road in the Intelligent Media Era." The forum attracted nearly 300 participants, including media representatives from more than 20 countries, international organizations, experts, and cultural and tech-innovation enterprises.
Joseph Maina Muiruri, Chairman of the Board of the Media Council of Kenya, pointed out in an interview that in Africa, growing media technology is essential for media development, which will also contribute to economic growth. He added that Africa needs the support from China in this regard as China is very advanced in intelligent media.
