11月17日，根据Web of Science的月度报告，备受争议的学术期刊 Science of The Total Environment（总环）正式被剔除SCI（Editorial De-listing）。
WoS旗下的Master Journal List显示，已无法检索到Science of The Total Environment，这意味着该期刊被剔除了WoS的数据库。
据悉，Science of The Total Environment于2024年10月被WoS标记为On Hold。著名学术杂志Science还曾报道该期刊存在同行评审操纵，其出版的文章中有34篇论文被识别出伪造评审人信息，还有28名编辑（包括前主编）存在利益冲突——担任合著者的文章的编辑，涉事论文高达371篇。
该期刊的影响因子峰值为10.753，曾为中科院1区Top学术期刊。总环on hold 历时13个月，被剔除WoS和SCI了！
