台湾新竹一名75岁老人有收藏古董的习惯，曾想出售部分藏品。诈骗集团得知后，安排人员与其接触，并谎称“购买特定高价珠宝可以抵税”。老人信以为真，花费3132万元新台币（折合人民币约719万元）购买了131只“翡翠金刚杵”。购买数月后，交货时仅拿到1件其余均是提货券，老人才发现被骗，其丈夫得知后气到中风。目前，该案件主犯已被判刑，尚有一人在逃。
