玄奘身边有个韩国弟子？

在西安兴教寺内，矗立着三座舍利塔。它们分别属于玄奘法师，以及他的两位弟子。

令人意想不到的是，其中一位弟子竟来自古代朝鲜半岛的新罗王朝（首都位于今韩国庆州），他的名字叫圆测。

圆测十五岁赴唐都长安求学，精通汉语、梵文等多种语言，还参与了佛经的翻译工作，是古代唐朝和新罗交流的重要桥梁。

Yuance is from the Silla Kingdom, whose capital is in present-day Gyeongju, South Korea. When he was 15, he traveled to Chang'an (now Xi'an), where he dedicated himself to Buddhist studies for decades, building a bridge for exchanges between Tang and Silla.

千年以后，因圆测的历史渊源，西安兴教寺仍与庆州佛国寺保持往来，互访交流延续至今。

This ancient connection is not confined to history books. Xingjiao Temple in Xi'an, which houses Yuance's relics, has maintained ties with Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju.

这段深厚的历史渊源，为现代友城关系的建立奠定了基础。1994年，西安与庆州正式结为友好城市。三十余年来，两座古都在经贸、文化、体育、医疗等领域的合作日益深化，互访合作交流已逾百次。

Xi'an and Gyeongju, building on their profound historical connection, formalized their relationship as sister cities in 1994. Over the past three decades, the two ancient capitals have deepened cooperation across trade, culture, sports, healthcare, and more.

考古与文化合作成为双方的重点领域。2002年，陕西历史博物馆与国立庆州博物馆签署了友好馆交流协议；2012年，两馆成功举办文物互展，将新罗时代的庆州文物带到西安展出，同时也将陕西文物呈现给庆州当地观众。

The Shaanxi History Museum and Gyeongju National Museum signed the Sister Institution Exchange Agreement in 2002. In 2012, the two held reciprocal exhibitions, showcasing artifacts of the Silla Kingdom to audiences in Xi'an, and presenting Shaanxi relics in Gyeongju.

据陕西历史博物馆工作人员介绍，当时的展览在韩国引起广泛反响。两个月的展期共吸引了超过16万名观众前来参观，许多韩国观众甚至从首尔、釜山等地专程赶赴庆州，只为一睹展品风采。

According to an official from the Shaanxi History Museum, the exhibition in Gyeongju was a sensation, attracting more than 160,000 visitors in just two months, with many traveling from Seoul and Busan specifically to see it.

随着西安和庆州友好城市关系的深化，越来越多的韩国年轻人选择来到西安发展，为绵延千年的友谊注入新的活力。

Deepening ties between Xi'an and Gyeongju are attracting an increasing number of people from South Korea to seek opportunities in Xi'an, adding to the dynamism of the enduring friendship.

在西安生活的韩国留学生皇甫艺真表示，免签政策推出后，越来越多韩国人来到中国旅行，并在社交媒体上分享他们在西安穿汉服、体验美食的日常。这些分享让更多韩国人发现，原来西安是一座这么有趣、充满魅力的城市，也让更多年轻人开始向往来中国旅行。

Hwangbo Ye-jin, a South Korean student in Xi'an, said that many South Korean tourists post on social media about beautiful hanfu, the traditional Chinese clothing, rental shops and local cuisine in Xi'an. After seeing this, more people realize Xi'an is a fun place to visit.

一座塔静立千年，见证着两座城市的同行。从千年前圆测的孤身之旅，到今天友城合作的百花齐放，西安与庆州之间的友谊之路从未中断，新的篇章正在被书写。

One pagoda, two cities, and a timeless link. From the solitary journey of the monk Yuance more than 1,000 years ago to the vibrant sister-city relationship today, the beauty of Xi'an-Gyeongju ties continues to flourish.
