针对名创优品创始人叶国富日前在《罗永浩的十字路口》访谈中称，名创优品大力发展自有IP，推动从零售公司向文化创意公司的转型，一年必须要浪费一个亿才能培养出好的IP，用于富养原创IP。
10月25日，叶国富独家回应澎湃新闻记者称，浪费的意思是给予自有IP充分的尝试空间，从艺术家挖掘到IP孵化、运营，构建全链路IP运营平台。
