日前，甘肃省瓜州县双塔湿地正式入选国家重要湿地。该湿地位于疏勒河中游的安西极旱荒漠国家级自然保护区，总面积1376.89公顷，海拔1295-1328米，属典型的干旱荒漠气候区，是我国西部极干旱荒漠地区湿地生态系统的典型代表。
