报道称，麦金在夏天受到了其他多家英超俱乐部的兴趣，埃弗顿出价1800万英镑想将其签下。 然而，这位31岁的苏格兰国脚仍然是维拉公园计划中的重要组成部分。
麦金于2018年从希伯尼安转会至维拉，他目前的合同于2023年签署，将于2027年到期。
