据此前相关报道，霍福德和勇士签下的合同为2年1200万美元，第二年为球员选项。
上赛季，霍福德场均贡献9分、6.2个篮板和2.1次助攻，三分命中率为36.3%，场均出手5.2次。在为凯尔特人出战的60场比赛中，他首发了其中的42场。
