今年第20号台风“博罗依”已于24日夜间加强为强热带风暴级，其中心25日早晨5点钟位于菲律宾马尼拉东偏南方向约990公里的西北太平洋洋面上，就是北纬10.8度、东经129.2度，11级（30米/秒），980百帕，七级风圈半径为220-300公里，十级风圈半径为60-80公里。
