当地时间8月17日，尼日利亚索科托州紧急事务管理局表示，当天该州一艘载有数十人的客船在航行途中倾覆。目前已确认造成10人遇难，6人获救，仍有40多人下落不明。当地政府的搜救行动仍在进行中。
