据俄罗斯媒体报道，俄罗斯科学院“统一地球物理局”8月5日表示，在7月30日堪察加半岛近海发生8.7级地震后，堪察加半岛南部整体向东南方向移动了近2米。此外，当地余震仍在持续。堪察加半岛共有7座巨型火山苏醒，其中最活跃的是克柳切夫火山，5日再度喷发出高达7千米的火山灰。
