8月5日，理想汽车CEO李想发文称理想i8“听劝版”来了，自今天起，理想i8将只有一个版本，不再设Pro、Max、Ultra三个版本，并称期待这款车后续的销量表现。李想还表示“此前的理想i8延续了理想L8的版本配置特点，是我们陷入惯性思维了。” 今日早些时候，理想汽车宣布公司决定统一配置版本，以理想i8 Max作为标准配置，并将售价从34.98万元下调为33.98万元，同时额外赠送价值1万元的铂金音响。
