据央视新闻消息，当地时间8月5日，俄罗斯科学院地球物理研究所堪察加分所发布消息称，7月30日堪察加半岛近海发生的强烈地震导致堪察加半岛南部整体向东南方向移动了近2米，这与2011年东日本大地震所导致的陆地板块的位移水平相当。
7月30日，堪察加半岛附近海域发生了里氏8.8级地震，为1953年来最强震级地震。（总台记者 张誉耀）
