A new release, Between Heaven and Earth: Stories of China in Ancient Maps, revives over 50 ancient maps dating from the Warring States period to the Qing Dynasty. Drawing from the National Library of China’s collection, the book explores how ancient cartography reflected evolving perceptions of space, political authority, and cultural identity.
