据央视新闻消息，当地时间7月24日，联合国秘书长古特雷斯通过发言人发表声明，对柬泰边境发生武装冲突的报道表示关切。秘书长呼吁双方保持最大限度的克制，通过对话以及睦邻友好的精神来解决问题，以期找到持久解决争端的方法。
