IT之家 7 月 8 日消息，科技媒体 512pixels 昨日（7 月 7 日）发布博文，在升级 macOS 26 Tahoe 系统的 MacBook Pro 和 MacBook Air 笔记本上，实测确认新系统已无法兼容识别 FireWire（火线）设备。
IT之家曾于今年 6 月报道，有用户反馈苹果 macOS 26 系统不再支持 FireWire 数据传输标准。为验证这条消息，曾在苹果担任技术员的编辑 Stephen Hackett 使用老旧的 FireWire 800 硬盘测试。
要将这个老旧的硬盘连接到现代 Mac 上，需要一系列的转接器：
- MacBook Pro（Thunderbolt 5）
- 苹果品牌的 Thunderbolt 3 至 2 转接器
- 苹果品牌的 Thunderbolt 2 至 FireWire 800 转接器
- 以及一条 FireWire 800 线缆用于连接硬盘。
在 macOS 15 Sequoia 系统中，可以正常显示 FireWire 800 连接的硬盘，但在 macOS 26 Tahoe 系统中，已经无法识别。

从实测数据来看，证实了用户此前的反馈，表明FireWire时隔 26年，退出Mac平台。
