7月7日，据空中客车消息，马来西亚航空母公司马来西亚航空集团（MAG）向空客订购20架A330-900飞机。该笔订单将使马来西亚国际航空未来的A330neo机队规模翻倍，达到40架。
马来西亚航空集团于2022年在其宽体机队更新计划中首次选择A330neo，并订购20架，其中4架已完成交付。目前已在吉隆坡至墨尔本、奥克兰和巴厘岛的航线上投入运营。
