据统计，自2000年以来，在东西部的直接交锋中，西部比东部多赢了1319场比赛。按赛季来看，在过去的26个赛季中，西部有23个赛季的战绩都优于东部，仅有2008-09（少赢12场）、2021-22（少赢22场）、2022-23（少赢22场）这三个赛季处于劣势。
