7月3日，在小鹏G7上市发布会上，小鹏汽车董事长、CEO何小鹏回应了其购买小米YU7 Pro而非Max版本的原因。他表示，“买喜欢的，不买贵的”，并开玩笑称，“你们可能认为有钱人只买贵的，像我这种草根出身的，就买喜欢的就可以”。此前，何小鹏在微博发文祝贺小米YU7发布，并晒出其购买的YU7 Pro订单。
