北京时间6月26日，2025年NBA选秀大会上，20岁的中国中锋杨瀚森在首轮第16顺位被波特兰开拓者选中。接受媒体采访时，杨瀚森谈到了自己喜欢看申京的比赛。
被问到会选哪位现役NBA球员作为模板时，杨瀚森回答道：“好问题，难住我了，申京，我很喜欢看申京打球。”记者追问喜欢申京的脚步还是过程时，杨瀚森脱口而出：“我不挑。”
值得一提的是，阿尔佩伦-申京在2021年NBA选秀大会上同样在第16顺位被选中。
