6月24日，现代工程建设公司 (E&C) 表示，已与芬兰国有能源公司富腾（Fortum）和美国核能公司西屋电气（Westinghouse）签署了一项工程前期合作协议 (EWA)，共同在芬兰建设一座新的核电站。
根据协议，该联盟将对西屋电气1000兆瓦级AP1000反应堆的项目规划、场地评估和其他关键基础工作进行深入研究。
