据新华社电 位于河北秦皇岛市山海关区的山海关中国长城博物馆6月15日正式开馆。该博物馆是国家一级博物馆、长城国家文化公园建设的标志性项目。
博物馆旨在展示中国长城文化保护传承利用成果，呈现长城的世界文化遗产价值和长城国家文化公园建设成就，是集文物保护、收藏展示、教育科研、休闲体验为一体的现代化综合性博物馆。
