十六年冬十一月，大名路大名县有颗星如火焰，自东南方划过天空，尾巴好似拖着扫帚，坠落到地上，化作石头，青黑色且光亮晶莹，形状如同狗头，其断裂之处恰似新割开的一般。
原文：
有司以进，太史验视云“天狗也。”
译文：
有关部门把它进献上来，太史查验后说：‘这是天狗星。’
