5月4日，美国游泳系列赛劳德代尔堡站女子800米自由泳快组决赛，莱德基游出8分04秒12，打破了由自己保持的世界纪录。
莱德基在28岁年纪打破了19岁时候游出的世界纪录，当时她在里约游出8分04秒79。
前几日，她还游出了女子1500米自由泳历史第二快成绩，一人包揽该项目前22快的成绩。
