3月28日14时20分在缅甸(北纬21.85度,东经95.95度)发生7.9级地震，震源深度30千米，距瑞丽市294公里。
截至目前，瑞丽社会秩序平稳正常，交通、通讯正常。财富广场墙壁脱落致2人轻伤，已送医院救治，其它暂无人员伤亡；有多处老旧房屋受损，正在统计。
