北京时间2月19日，WTA1000迪拜站第三轮，卫冕冠军保利尼在比赛中意外受伤，0-2（4-6、0-6）不敌肯宁，无缘女单八强。
在受伤后，保利尼仍然选择坚持完赛，但最终还是不敌肯宁。这是肯宁本赛季首胜世界前十，也是继2023年瓜达哈拉哈站之后再进1000赛八强。
