挪威国防大臣证实，北约将在北极地区建立空中作战中心，该中心会在挪威境内选址。挪威国防大臣说：“我现在可以确认，北约内部已达成协议，由挪威负责建设第三个北约空中作战中心。”北约目前拥有两个联合空中作战中心，一个在西班牙托雷洪，另一个在德国于德姆。（央视新闻）
