在2月7日“晚点LatePost”发布的专访中，何小鹏被问及从长城汽车挖来王凤英，他称在王准备入职但还没入职时，就对何小鹏说，“你们公司的钢有问题”。王凤英指出小鹏汽车所用的钢成本比别人贵很多。之后何小鹏花费了9个月才搞清楚：“下面的人一直在骗你，你看不出门道。”
