阮桂陆出生于广西田东县作登瑶族乡梅林村，是国家级非物质文化遗产代表性项目瑶族金锣舞的代表性传承人。他14岁开始跟随父亲学习金锣舞，与金锣相伴已60多年。多年来，阮桂陆一直积极推广金锣舞，传承这一非物质文化遗产。
