农业农村部副部长张兴旺10月25日表示，截至10月24日，全国秋粮收获超过八成，大头丰收到手。从各地反映和专家的测产情况看，绝大多数省份增产。秋粮增产是明显的，加上夏粮和早稻，全国粮食再获丰收，产量预计有望迈上1.4万亿斤新台阶。
