北京时间10月6日，德乙球队沙尔克04官方宣布，荷兰教练范旺德伦成为球队新任主帅。
沙尔克官方表示，“55岁的范旺德伦从即日起成为球队新帅，合同至2026年夏天，从下周一开始他将带队进行首次训练，届时他将得到现任教练组成员莫莱纳尔的支持。”
本赛季德乙8轮过后，沙尔克04取战绩为2胜2平4负，暂列积分榜第13位。
