据“东网”“星岛网”等港媒消息，香港天文台今日（28日）发出特别天气提示，中午12时30分左右，维多利亚港附近出现水龙卷。有目击市民表示，水龙卷全程大约持续2分钟。
据香港天文台介绍，龙卷风是从积云伸展至地面的一团快速旋转空气，在水面上发生的龙卷风就叫水龙卷。根据香港天文台从1959年开始接获的报告，这次是首次报告在维多利亚港内出现水龙卷。
