It was the first day of the new school year at Riverstone Middle School, and rumors were already flying. Whispers about Room 207 had been circulating among the students. According to the older kids, strange things had been happening there. Lights flickering, objects moving on their own, and weird sounds in the hallways at night. No one really knew what caused it, but everyone seemed to avoid the room as much as possible.

Lily and her best friends, Max and Sophie, were curious. As they walked past Room 207 during lunch, they stopped to look at the closed door.

“It just looks like a normal classroom,” Sophie said, shrugging.

“Yeah, but everyone says there’s something creepy about it,” Max added, glancing around to make sure no one was watching them.

Lily, being the most adventurous of the three, smirked. “There’s only one way to find out what’s really going on.”

Sophie and Max exchanged worried glances. “You’re not serious, are you?” Sophie asked.

“Absolutely. We should check it out after school,” Lily said confidently.

The idea of exploring Room 207 after hours made Max and Sophie nervous, but they couldn’t deny they were curious too. They all agreed to meet after school, determined to solve the mystery once and for all.
