美国能源部周一宣布，拜登政府已为战略石油储备购买了340多万桶原油。美国能源部在一份声明中表示，周日签订的合同期限从2025年1月到2025年3月，每月向德州Freeport Bryan Mound的战略石油储备库填充超过110万桶。到目前为止，美国能源部已经以平均每桶76美元的价格直接为SPR购买了5000多万桶石油。美国能源部表示，美国政府“将继续评估补充SPR的方案，同时为纳税人确保一笔好交易，同时考虑到计划的外汇回报和市场发展”。
