8月5日，道达尔能源官博宣布，已退出南非南部海岸附近的11B/12B油气区块，该区块由其子公司TotalEnergies EP South Africa持有45%的权益。道达尔能源表示，自2013年，公司进入该区块以来，发现了Brulpadda与Luiperd两处天然气田，但在南非市场，对这些天然气田进行经济开发和货币化难度过大，因此未能实现商业开发。此外，该公司还做出了另一项战略调整，决定退出海上勘探区块5/6/7，子公司TotalEnergies EP South Africa持有40%的权益。
