北京时间8月3日，在巴黎奥运会乒乓球女子单打决赛中，中国选手陈梦战胜队友孙颖莎，成功卫冕，夺得金牌。这也是中国代表团在本届奥运会上获得的第14枚金牌。
孙颖莎此前夺得巴黎奥运会乒乓球混双金牌，目前在本届奥运会已收获一金一银。
