7月29日是第十四个全球老虎日。东北虎豹国家公园于2017年开始试点建设，经过6年试点建设，东北虎豹种群数量大幅增长，目前东北虎数量70只左右，东北豹数量80只左右，分布范围超过公园总面积的80%，是中国野生东北虎和东北豹的集中分布区。
