INTRODUCTION
On the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative，the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and IEEE China Council are to launch the 2024 IEEE Belt and Road Congress on AI for Sustainable Development, aiming at creating an in-ternational exchange and cooperation platform, implementing the eight actions of high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road, and promoting scientific and technological innovation, accelerating intelligent transformation, and guarding in-telligent security with a global co-creation model of openness, inclusiveness, con-nectivity, and common development in order to gather advanced achievements and broad consensus, and spread outstanding wisdom and mature experience to achieve modernization development of countries around the world.
This congress is going to be held on June 22-23, 2024 in Hangzhou, China. Govern-ment officials, heads of scientific research institutes and enterprises, and guests from social organizations in the relevant countries of the the Belt and Road will be invited to participate, establishing a cooperation network around the framework of data intelligence enabling sustainable development to promote the Belt and Road sustainable development of general AI. Meanwhile, the congress solicits academic papers from scientific professors, university scholars, and industry representatives in the fields of AI, electronic technology and information science, computer, etc. Through high-level activities such as government forums, industry-university-in-stitute cooperation forums, and paper exchanges, the congress will strengthen in-dustry-university-institute cooperation in AI and deepen academic exchanges and discussions at home and abroad to achieve higher quality and higher level of joint construction of the Belt and Road.
