4月9日，任天堂3DS和Wii U在线游戏服务正式终止，此后所有需要互联网连接的游戏功能将无法使用，离线部分还可以正常游玩，已购买的内容仍可以重新下载和更新。此外，“宝可梦银行”和“PokéMover”还可以正常使用，但未来也有可能终止服务。
任天堂最初于2023年10月公布了3DS和Wii U在线游戏服务将终止的消息，今年1月份确定了最终日期。在2023年3月，任天堂还关闭了3DS和Wii U的游戏商店，玩家无法再购买数字版游戏。
