12月4日，飓风“米昌”逼近印度，钦奈金奈国际机场（MAA）停机坪彻底沦陷，暴雨高峰时停机坪水深吞没了整个飞机轮胎。截至目前，所有进出港航班全部取消。
钦奈机场上一次因洪水而关闭是在2015年，当时机场关闭了四天。
