在最近的Forza Monthly广播中，开发商Turn 10确定了《极限竞速8》在发售时不会提供某些功能，包括：分屏功能、观众模式以及在某些多人模式中与AI竞赛。
开发者在谈到不支持分屏功能的原因时表示，提高游戏画质需要对游戏的渲染引擎进行彻底改革，因此，分屏功能很难添加，在游戏发售时无法使用。
《极限竞速8》将于10月10日发售，登陆Xbox Series X|S和PC，首发XGP。
