3月18日，据《华尔街日报》消息，Facebook和Instagram的母公司Meta周五表示，继上个月在澳大利亚和新西兰进行测试后，将在美国推出验证订阅服务。这项服务名为“Meta Verified”，通过网络浏览器注册的Facebook帐户每月收费11.99美元，通过Facebook或Instagram移动应用程序注册的每月收费14.99美元。
Meta首席执行官扎克伯格（Mark Zuckerberg）在其Instagram Stories上宣布推出这一服务，并邀请用户加入等待名单。据悉，该“蓝勾”之前只向政治人物、记者和名人提供，但现在订户也能获得。该公司称，用户需要提供政府核发的身份证明来验证他们的帐户。
